BHL Wrap Up – Round 8

Congratulations to the BHL Stix teams for achieving two big wins on Saturday against Kedron Wavell HC at the State Hockey Centre. BHL 1 were up first and racked up a 7-nil scoreline. Marshall Brown and Ethan White (playing his 100th 1st grade game) shared the Player’s Player Best on Ground Award. Luke Tyne received the Stix Guard recognition.
With players absent at the South Coast School Boys championships, BHL 2 needed six double ups from BHL 1. They took Kedron to the sword scoring in all quarters with the final score 9-nil. Brad Hughes with his hat trick of goals was awarded BOG and Finn Robinson who backed up from 1s and ran himself to a standstill was awarded the Stix Guard. BHL 1 is now in 5th position and BHL 2, 7th on the ladder.
We encourage all supporters to attend our home games this coming Saturday, May 25 when we take on the Valley HC and cheer them on to climb the points ladder. Also be witness to the special presentations that will take place prior to the BHL 1 pass back, celebrating 100 BHL 1 games.
