The rules of hockey and any changes are approved by FIH (International Federation of Hockey).  Hockey rules are standard throughout the world.

Rules of many styles of hockey can be found on the FIH website.
The FIH website outlines the rules for outdoor field hockey, indoor hockey, Hockey 5’s and Beach Hockey.
On the Gold Coast our primary game(s) played are Outdoor field hockey and in summer season – Hockey 5’s is often played.
Some players travel to South Brisbane to participate in indoor hockey.
FIH update the rule book(s) every two years, so it’s worth checking you have the latest version.

In addition to the Internationally recognised rules from FIH, players should also be aware of the local rules for our association(s).
